Hello, all!       We hope this message finds you well! I'm reaching out from The Hub to share some opportunities for the students and families at your school.       Firstly, we offer free nutritional meals for kids under the age of 18 every Wednesday and Thursday from 5-6pm. Here's how it works: Meals are free for kids and must be eaten on site. Parents can enjoy a meal too for just $8. To participate, families must sign up using the provided link by Wednesday at noon each week.        Next, we provide free tutoring services to students Tuesdays through Fridays from 4-6pm. We offer a variety of subjects and are willing to work with variable schedules. If students would like to sign up for tutoring, they can use this Jotform: https://form.jotform.com/242664418810154. For anyone interested in volunteering as tutors (who receive community service hours), they can sign up here: https://form.jotform.com/242665981779174. We also host monthly trivia nights for all ages. This is a great opportunity to have a fun afternoons with family and friends! We have an exciting upcoming trivia night for the spooky season on October 25th from 7-8pm. For more information, let us know if you would like to receive our weekly newsletters by replying to this email. Our newsletter will keep you updated on our weekly specials, free meals, and other exciting events!       Finally, we have several fun and engaging workshops coming up! Every other Wednesday starting October 2 from 5-6pm, we will be hosting Song School, a free workshop series focusing on helping participants learn to write, produce, and perform their own music. Students can use this link to sign up: https://form.jotform.com/242705359894065. We also have a few S.T.E.A.M. workshops left for this year: our October Seasonal Collaging workshop is hosted by Susanna Robinson on October 18 and 25 from 4-7pm, and on November 18 from 10am-5pm, Tommye Rafes will be hosting an Herbal Infusions workshop teaching participants to make their own salves, body butter, lotions, balms, and more. Greenbrier County Schools empowers students to stand up to bullying using STOPIt, an online program that allows them to anonymously report acts of bullying they experience or witness. School personnel monitor and investigate reports to help protect our students and keep them safe at school. Students can access the STOPIt website at school on their Chromebooks through the GCS Bookmarks tab.

SCHOOL SECURITY UPDATE Local law enforcement has been notified of threats directed towards high schools in the county. A Homeland Security investigation suggests that these threats may be part of a larger trend affecting schools across West Virginia and other states. At this time, we have no reason to believe that these threats are credible. Out of an abundance of caution, we will be increasing security measures in our schools over the next few days.
